sovietdada soviet dada is an extensive audiovisual and textual work about the rise and fall of Leninism and the life of V.I. Lenin, one of the most influential figures in 1900 century. Besides it is a comprehensive history about Russia and Soviet Union and includes exellent pieces of soviet art and design.. It is aimed at everyone who´s interested in European history and specially for young people. It popularizes, humanizes and makes interesting such knowledge which is often felt to be dry and boring. It combines historical facts and humour, beautiful screen design and audiovisual surprises, rich soundtrack, videoclips and interactivity to an unique whole. It makes learning history fun and an entertaining experience. The core of the multimedia are the sections CCCP, Lenin and Virtual Museum. The Punishement Generator is activated f.ex. if the user answers incorrectly in the quizes. Every punishement is of course recorded in the Passport. Good behaviour is rewarded and the more user explores the program, the more she/he gets good stamps and badges. There are also two hilarious computer games, loosely based in Soviet history. Also Pet Shop Boys enjoyed soviet dada. |

The multimedia utilizes the collections of the last officially open Lenin museum in the world: The Lenin Museum in Tampere (Finland). Their vast collections contain objects, photos, posters, sound- and film-material. The museum expertise and connections to Russian historical museums have been very important in this production.
